Mother’s day Special

 Mothers day is always special for me because I get to celebrate with two wonderful mothers in my house ( my mom and my older sister). My sister has two daughters ( 5 years old and 1-year-old)  I always treat the best way possible and shower them both with love and present. I make sure they are treated with no difference.  I love them from the bottom of my heart. They are equally special for me and I would never trade anything and their love toward me is amazing.

Every year, I always do something special for them and make sure they are happy, this year I had planned to do special love box for both of them, with goodies and stuff they would like. Unfortunately, I did not have much time due to (overtime) work and babysitting.  So what I did I prepared them each box and made them similar gifts.

And one of my love boxes highlight was the love jar and the box itself.

And to add to the ”mom” celebration I had ordered doughnuts from DoughNat Montreal.

I had the chance to have a bit and they were amazingly tasty. It was love at first bite. I am sure I will order doughnut from DoughNats from now for any events in the future.

    Instead of going home, she stayed in her office room; thinking. She was panicking whether to go or not. she was going out of her mind. She could not make any proper decisions. She was scared but at the same time more and more curious about the unknown person who’s disturbing her.

        – What if it is some kidnapper? Maybe not! Maybe it is! She was confused. She didn’t tell anyone around here. – I would look like a crazy girl!

5.25pm

She decided to go and meet the stranger, she did not want this prank to continue as she can’t concentrate on anything.  She left her office and walked toward Starbucks; just across her office building.

She entered the coffee shop  – I’ve been coming to this place for years and even this morning;  I would have not thought this place would actually give me panic attack one day.

She looked around her, everybody seems to be busy; listening to music, working on their laptops, drinking their coffees, talking to their friends. Strange!  A prank? – I am looking like an idiot without knowing what to do

She went to the counter and ordered her favorite coffee. It was the same person at the counter as this morning. – I hate him: he never writes my name properly. I gave up repeating myself.

She took her coffee and went toward a table. – I will wait 15 minutes if nothing happens I will leave this place and ignores the messages. But who could it be? As she was having many unanswered questions; she looks at her misspelled name. She could not believe her own eyes: – My name was finally written CORRECTLY! As she was reading it for the fifth time she noticed something else under her name.

– I’m glad you came. Enjoy your coffee! and the note ended with a heart !!!!!!!!!!!

Her heart stopped functioning.

As she turned to look at him. He had left the counter.

The moment they met ! The moment she knew ! She knew she was not alone anymore ! She has fallen ! She has fallen in love! Madly in love !

Public Relations Part 1 – Communication

Profile

             Public Relations (PR) is a term that many of us, including me, aren’t familiar with.  In the beginning, I had no clue what was all about.  I wanted to go back to school and escape from the 9-5 job that I have and discover something new. While surfing on-line about different programs offered by CEGEPs and university, I discovered this program about PR and Communication Management and it was LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT. Since I wanted to do something that suits my personality and my skills, I decided to apply for this program without any hesitation. I am almost done with the Certificate (30 credits) at McGill University and  I have an idea about it. I have to admit that I chose the right program because I just love it. I want to share with you what I have learned I also want to share  the five things in PR that I consider important and I will also describe my personality that belongs to each point.

What is Public Relation ?

Definition ( Merriem-Webster Dictionary ) 

  • : the activity or job of providing information about a particular person or organization to the public so that people will regard that person or organization in a favorable way

  • : the relationship between an organization and the public

Communicating

To begin let’s have another definition of what is communication. According to the same dictionary; communication is :

  • : the act or process of using words, sounds, signs, or behaviors to express or exchange information or to express your ideas, thoughts, feelings, etc., to someone else

  • : a message that is given to someone : a letter, telephone call, etc.

            How much am I familiar with communication ? People who knows me. will also know how I communicate well and interact with others. I have always been very social and an outgoing person. It doesn’t take much to make new friends. My social skills sometimes put me in trouble, well I guess this is the negative side of being too much social. But on the other hand, I just do what I love : communicate and interact with others.

            Communication is about everything in life. If we don’t communicate with others, the world will not be as it is now.  It exists many types of communication; written, verbal, informal, formal and moreover body languages is also a type of communication.  In PR, written communication is one of the most important types. One must be able to write and write to be able to communicate.Communication includes listening as well. In order to proceed the transfer of the information, we do need a receptor too, which is the person who we want to communicate the information.

      Public Relations is mainly focused on effective communication and is about transferring the correct message with the correct tool(s) to develop and maintain a good relationship with the public or within the organization.
